Went for a quick meal - the steak pasty, which I split with my husband, was STILL filling. The crust definitely held the moist meat, potato, and rutabaga filling. The gravy was warned and very "beefy" flavored. Def. will return when I visit Traverse City in the future.
First off, Google is showing this place in the wrong location on their map; it’s right next to Playa Bowls. The service was friendly and the store seemed like a nice place. The chili supreme was very nice and had a lot of toppings for added taste, and the steak pastie was delicious. The crust was a bit more pliable than I typically expect in a pastie, but it was still very good. The fillings were rich and meaty with plenty of meat and vegetables. The gravy and dynamite sauce complemented the pastie quite well. This made for an excellent lunch.
My aunt and I picked the right place to have our first Pastie. They were delicious! The owner was very nice and she explained what each one was filled with and a little history of how the family business started long ago.
Came in for the veggie pasties. Definitely gonna come back for the chicken one next time. Love the old school and serene vibe. Their dynamite, honey mustard and sour cream sauces are the combo to go for. Also comes with a great service!
They are so nice, there food is soo good, people are nice all though some customers (rare) are weird but hey that's the world for u. It's the perfect place to go to in traver city if only they had one in miamisburg, Ohio.
Cannot say enough great things, seriously this place is so awesome. The pasties are absolutely phenomenal. The indoor decor is so pretty. We ate outside due to Covid life and it was perfect! Nick, the owner is so personable. Every employee was fantastic. We'll definitely be shipping some pasties back home
Very friendly staff, great pasties and they ship to you during the down season! Loved the little book talking about the history of pasties. They also have daily specials so keep an eye on the menu board to see what you should come back for tomorrow!
Can't go to Traverse City without a stop at this place! Food is always excellent. Beautiful day so we ate outside.
